SCOPE OF ACTIVITIES

Research on management economy, policies, investment economy and construction in the field of water resources

FEATURED SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS

- Provide scientific basis, develop policies on:

+ Economic mechanism in balancing exploitation and use of the national water resources;

+ Criteria evaluating economic efficiency of water resources investing project;

+ Solution for innovation of water resources management mechanism suitable with market mechanism;

+ Irrigation fee calculation and irrigation fee policy;

+ Regulation on management of hydraulic construction quality;

+ Policy on decentralization of hydraulic structure management;

+ Order regulation in hydraulic construction management;

+ Regulation on the capacity of organizations and individuals involved in the hydraulic construction management, etc.

 - Develop norms and unit prices for water resources management such as:

+ Hydraulic model experiments;

+ Design of mechanical hydraulic construction;

+ Dam construction;

+ Jet-grouting drilling, mortar grouting for dyke reinforcement;

+ Re modelling embankments; hub processing;

+ Roller compacted concrete; self-compacting concrete, etc.

DEVELOPMENT ORIENTATION

- Develop the Institute to be the leading scientific research organization in institution, policy, economics and management in the field of water resources, disaster management, environment and fresh water for rural area.

- Strengthen scientific cooperation and consultation with national and international organizations and individuals.
