FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. According to Decision No. 1921/QD-BNNMT dated May 25, 2026, of the Minister of Agriculture and Environment stipulating the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the Institute of Digital Technology and Training (IDTT), the IDTT is a public science and technology research institution under the Viet Nam Academy for Water Resources (VAWR), Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAE) with the following functions:

- Scientific research;

- Technology transfer;

- International cooperation

in the areas of digital technology, software, digital infrastructure, and telecommunications; training of human resources in the fields of water resources, hydraulic engineering, disaster prevention and mitigation, climate change, remote sensing, meteorology and hydrology, and seas and islands resources to support the state administration functions of the MAE.

- Providing public services, consulting services, pilot production, supplying science and technology products and services, training, and other services in specialized fields and areas within the scope of the Institute’s functions and tasks and in accordance with the law.

2. The IDTT has legal personality, its own official seal, and is authorized to open accounts at the State Treasury and banks to operate in accordance with the law.
